about pam
Pamela Sand (Ritchot) hails from Winnipeg, a provincial capital in the Canadian Prairies. The pen took over her life at an early age and in various forms, from crafting her own colouring books to illustrating children's novels and developing a personal calligraphic style. She has long had a deep affinity for, and connection to, her canvas and counterpart: Paper. As an adult, Pam retooled that canvas, gravitating towards Architecture and pushing her love of graphic expression to a greater and more public scale.
Pam has now nested in Brooklyn, NY, where she finds ample energy in the city to inspire her craft and nurture her passion for drawing and print whenever and wherever she can. She puts pen to paper, and with that, she gives life to the latent magic in every occasion. |
about the process
The design process at Pam & Paper is iterative and collaborative. Client interactions help glean the finer grained details about my clients that elevate the final product to a more personal level -- and really makes them shine! Consultation tools range from FaceTime and Skype, to phone calls and in-person meetings.
I begin with an initial consultation where I ask clients to provide any colour schemes, inspirations, or requirements that they have for the project. From there, I work to bring life to each piece, seeking feedback from my clients as I work. Feedback can move through several iterations, depending on the complexity of the project and the number of pieces it includes. Because this process is organic and unique to each client and each project, timelines for completion may vary. When the design process is complete, production of your pieces takes place! Suggested approximate project timelines are as follows: Wedding Sets: 3-6 months Textiles: 1-2 months Individual stationery items (ie: business cards, invitations, etc.) : 2 months |
